Ever since the first lasers became available they have been used to drill holes in different materials. But the laser drilling process is not necessarily easy to understand, nor is it easy to control.
In this presentation some process control aspects of laser drilling will discussed, and results of experiments to improve the accuracy and quality of laser drilled holes will be shown.
