The LHC components for both accelerator and detectors will reach limits after 15 years of operation in 2023. The LHC and the Detectors will need at least an update. With cost effective measures it was decided to upgrade the accelerator and the experiments for new discoveries and challenges. The renewal of 1.2 km of LHC is an incubator for future technologies pushing the limits in many fields, adopting new solution, bringing to maturity and opening the way to the future. The lecture will concentrate on innovations, precisions aspects and a possible view of the future, connecting achievements with challenges.
