Thermal management of a novel 3D Glass printer from QSIL

These days, 3D printing can be done with a great many different and extraordinary materials. 3D printing of glass is a new challenge because the printing process is at very high temperatures (1,600 -1,700 ºC) and the glass becomes a treacly liquid when melted. Crucial to the final design of the printer is managing the temperature of not only the print head but also the printing platform and the oven environment. To prevent stress in the printed object, the platform and environment are regulated at a specific high temperature.
