Micro EDM is an established process for the machining of micro structures with geometries in the tenths of microns and precisions in the micron range. This scale presents important challenges in the efficient handling of small tools in a production environment.
The contribution will present some established and some new solutions for the handling of micro EDM electrodes of sizes down to 10 microns. Some applications of micro electrodes are also presented.
