Sven Hol studied Mechanical and Automation Engineering at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. After his master studies he received his Ph.D. in Mechatronic Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. Working for ASML he held several functions, including electro-mechanical designer, customer service manager at ASML Japan, and researcher. Currently, he is Mechatronic System Architect at ASML. Sven is also trainer for Mikrocentrum. With the course ‘Applied Mechatronics’ he trains the participants how to model, simulate and control mechatronic systems.
