Martin van Breukelen is managing director of HFML-FELIX and working there for over 10 years, still with very much enthusiasm. Working in an international environment at a large scale research infrastructure as HFML-FELIX is his passion. Keeping the right balance between excellent scientific research, acting as a user facility and developing the technical installation is our goal. Serving this three core tasks leads to new scientific discoveries and new technical capabilities often created together with industrial partners. He is also involved in the in European consortia as European Magnetic Field Laboratory (EMFL), League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources (LEAPS) and the Analytical Research Infrastructures in Europe (ARIE).
